JYO-201

Bhava Analysis in Depth

2 wk

Reading every house thoroughly through four lenses.

Topics
  • House lord — placement, dignity, aspects
  • Occupants and aspecting planets
  • The house's natural karaka
  • Derivative houses (bhavat bhavam)
Methods & Calculation

Judge a house by: (a) its lord's sign/house/state, (b) planets in it, (c) planets aspecting it, (d) its karaka. Derivative: spouse's wealth = 2nd from 7th = 8th; mother's career = 10th from 4th.

Practicum

Delineate all 12 houses of your chart through these four lenses; re-derive 3 topics via bhavat bhavam.

JYO-202

Karakas & Significators

1 wk

The significator system for people and themes.

Topics
  • Natural karakas for every life topic
  • Chara karaka (Jaimini) — first introduction
  • Karaka + house + lord triangulation
Methods & Calculation

Marriage = 7th house + 7th lord + Venus(M)/Jupiter(F). Children = 5th + 5th lord + Jupiter. Always read a topic via its house, that house's lord, and its karaka together.

Practicum

For each major topic, name the karaka and assess it; fully analyse your Venus as wife-karaka.

JYO-203

Divisional Charts I — Navamsa

2 wk

The D9, the most important varga, for marriage, dharma and true strength.

Topics
  • The varga concept; why divisions matter
  • D9 calculation rule
  • Navamsa lagna, 7th & Venus
  • Vargottama
Methods & Calculation

D9 segment = floor(deg/3.3333). Start sign: movable→same, fixed→9th from it, dual→5th from it; D9 sign = start + segment. Vargottama = same sign in D1 & D9.

Practicum

Compute your D9 by hand; read its 7th house and Venus; verify against the engine's navamsa block.

JYO-204

Divisional Charts II — the Shodasavarga set

2 wk

The remaining key vargas and how to read them.

Topics
  • D7 Saptamsa (children), D10 career, D12 parents
  • D2 wealth, D3 siblings
  • D30 adversity, D60 overall
  • Varga strength awareness
Methods & Calculation

D7 (4.2857°): odd signs→from same, even→from 7th. D10: odd→same, even→9th. D12: always from same sign. D3 (10°): →same/5th/9th. D60 (0.5°): sign-by-sign from same sign.

Practicum

Compute your D7 and D10; locate Venus exalted in your D7 5th (the children blessing).

JYO-205

Yogas I — Raja & Dhana

2 wk

Combinations for status, power and wealth.

Topics
  • Raja yoga: kendra-trikona lord links
  • Dhana (wealth) yogas: 2/5/9/11 lords
  • Pancha Mahapurusha yogas (Ruchaka, Bhadra, Hamsa, Malavya, Sasa)
  • Parivartana (exchange) yogas
Methods & Calculation

Raja yoga = relationship (conjunction/mutual aspect/exchange) of a kendra lord (1,4,7,10) with a trikona lord (1,5,9). Mahapurusha = Mars/Mercury/Jupiter/Venus/Saturn in own/exalted sign in a kendra.

Practicum

Find every Raja and Dhana yoga in your chart and Poodja's (hers is yoga-rich).

JYO-206

Yogas II — Lunar, Cancellation & Affliction

2 wk

Moon-based yogas, debilitation-cancellation and difficulty patterns.

Topics
  • Gajakesari; Sunapha/Anapha/Durudhara; Kemadruma
  • Neecha Bhanga Raja Yoga
  • Vipareeta Raja yoga
  • Arishta (difficulty) basics — read with care
Methods & Calculation

Neecha Bhanga: e.g. the debilitation-sign lord, or the planet exalted there, sits in a kendra from Lagna/Moon → debilitation cancelled, 'rises from low to high'.

Practicum

Identify the lunar yogas in your chart; analyse Poodja's debilitated-but-cancelled Jupiter.

JYO-207

Vimshottari Dasha

2 wk

The 120-year period clock that times events.

Topics
  • The 9 lords and their years
  • Balance of dasha at birth
  • Mahadasha / Antardasha / Pratyantardasha
  • Interpreting a dasha lord
Methods & Calculation

Years: Ke7 Ve20 Su6 Mo10 Ma7 Ra18 Ju16 Sa19 Me17. Balance = (1 − fraction-of-nakshatra-traversed)×lord's years. Antardasha = MD_years×sub/120; same fractal onward. Read the dasha lord by its houses owned, house occupied, conjunctions/aspects, dignity.

Practicum

Compute your full dasha tree to pratyantar for 2026–2030; confirm Venus MD from 2022; verify with the engine.

JYO-208

Transits (Gochara)

1 wk

Timing with the moving sky, layered on the dashas.

Topics
  • Transits judged from the natal Moon
  • Saturn's Sade Sati
  • Jupiter & Saturn over key houses
  • Combining dasha + transit
Methods & Calculation

Read gochara primarily from the natal Moon. Sade Sati = Saturn over the 12th-1st-2nd from natal Moon. Jupiter over the 7th/over natal Venus supports marriage.

Practicum

Find transiting Jupiter & Saturn for 2027 relative to your Moon and 7th; combine with your dasha.

JYO-209

Special Lagnas & Bhava Chalit

1 wk

Additional reference points that refine a reading.

Topics
  • Arudha Lagna (image/perception)
  • Hora Lagna & Ghati Lagna (wealth/power)
  • Bhava Chalit (cusp-based houses)
  • When each is used
Methods & Calculation

Arudha of a house = count from house to its lord, project the same count onward (with the standard 10th/exception adjustments). Bhava chalit places planets by precise cusp rather than whole sign.

Practicum

Compute your Arudha Lagna and compare your 'projected image' to your Lagna self.

JYO-210

Compatibility I — Ashtakoota

2 wk

Your first complete marriage-matching, the 36-point system.

Topics
  • The 8 kutas and their weights
  • Each kuta's calculation
  • Total, bands, where points sit
  • Reading a match honestly
Methods & Calculation

Max: Varna1 Vashya2 Tara3 Yoni4 GrahaMaitri5 Gana6 Bhakoot7 Nadi8 = 36. Score each from both Moon-nakshatras using the appendix tables; bands <18/18–24/24–32/32+.

Practicum

Score a full Ashtakoota by hand for a real pair; verify total against the engine.

JYO-211

The Annual Chart (intro)

1 wk

Awareness of solar-return / Tajika technique.

Topics
  • Varshaphala concept; the year-lord (Varshesha)
  • Muntha
  • Tajika aspects & yogas (overview)
Methods & Calculation

The annual chart is cast for the Sun's return to its natal longitude each year; the Muntha advances one house per year from the Lagna. Treat as a forecasting overlay.

Practicum

Cast your current year's Varshaphala in software and note the year-lord and Muntha.

JYO-212

Integrative Reading

1 wk

Putting natal + timing together into one delivered reading.

Topics
  • Order of synthesis
  • Weighing conflicting indications
  • Writing a 12-month outlook
Methods & Calculation

Synthesis order: Lagna/Moon → overall strength → topic via house+lord+karaka+varga → timing via dasha+transit → honest summary.

Practicum

Deliver a full natal reading plus a one-year forecast for a consenting subject.

Capstone & assessment

Capstone requirement

Produce a complete natal delineation with a 12-month predictive forecast for a consenting person: full D1 + key vargas, the principal yogas, the Vimshottari tree with transit confirmation, and (if relevant) a scored Ashtakoota — synthesised into an honest written reading.
